Founded in Sheffield in 2010, Goalsoul creates original, concept-led football T-shirts and art prints for people who see more in the game.
We connect football with art, music, film, history and culture—turning unexpected ideas into original work.
FROM THE BIRTHPLACE OF FOOTBALL
Sheffield is where the modern game began to take shape.
Sheffield FC, founded in 1857, is recognised as the world’s oldest existing football club. The Sheffield Rules helped shape the way football is played, while Sandygate—home of Hallam FC—is recognised as the world’s oldest football ground.
Football history is not something we borrowed. It is part of where Goalsoul comes from.
THREE STORES. ONE IDEA.
Our first store opened on Sharrow Vale Road in 2013—part shop, part gallery and a home for football art and design.
That was followed by Sporting Sheffield on Chapel Walk, celebrating the city’s wider sporting heritage, and Sheffield FC × Goalsoul on Ecclesall Road, bringing Goalsoul together with the world’s oldest football club.

Goalsoul began in Sheffield in 2010.
The language has evolved since then. The idea hasn't.
From the beginning, Goalsoul looked beyond the obvious — finding unexpected connections between football and the art, music, history, humour, people and culture around it.
2010
Goalsoul begins in Sheffield, creating football-inspired artwork with
another story beneath the surface.
2011
Concept-led designs are already finding an audience, with Goalsoul
appearing in football and design media including FourFourTwo.
2012
We describe our approach as looking for “new and unexpected
ideas” and creating work “different from the norm.”
2013
Goalsoul is creating for the “thinking football fan”,
exploring football and “the cultures that surround it.”
2017
A Goalsoul exhibition in Sheffield celebrates football's rich history and
“eclectic cultural tapestry.”
2026
Fifteen years of instinct finally gets a simple expression:
